Paul McLerran is a 1970 graduate of Baylor University and was in the first graduating class from the University of Texas Dental School at San Antonio in 1974. Paul practiced general dentistry in San Antonio from 1974 to 1983 and, during this time, he was an associate doctor, owned and sold several offices, employed associate doctors, went through a partnership buy in, practiced in a partnership, and eventually sold the practice to his partner. He has personally experienced most of the transitional phases in dentistry and brings a greater level of empathy to dentists in transitional situations. Paul has earned the prestigious commercial real estate designation, CCIM, which is awarded by the National Association of Realtors and also earned the Certified Financial Planner designation, CFP, in 1988. Paul established McLerran & Associates in 1987 and, since then, has been involved in practice sales, appraisals, associate/partnership structure, and consulting.
Paul lives in San Antonio with his wife Carolyn and has two children. Paul is a collector of orchids, and, when he is not working in his greenhouse, can be found on the golf course or fishing at Port Aransas..
Tom Guglielmo, D.M.D

Director - Houston
Tom Guglielmo has worked with McLerran and Associates in the Houston market for the past five years and has been involved in practice sales, practice consulting, and appraisals. Tom has a varied background, receiving a Bachelor of General Studies degree from the University of Kentucky in 1975, and a DMD degree from the University of Louisville in 1979. Tom practiced general dentistry in Houston and Kentucky from 1980 to 1998. In addition to his dental background, Tom has been active in the commercial development of a mixed-use resort project in Kentucky. Tom has been involved with dentistry as an owner, a consultant, a sales representative for digital x-rays and, currently, as Co-Director of McLerran and Associates-Houston. His unique background and understanding of the issues that dentists face are a positive addition to the services offered by McLerran & Associates.
Patrick Johnston, M.H.A.

Director - Houston
Patrick Johnston has worked with McLerran and Associates for almost four years, and is currently the Co-Director of McLerran and Associates-Houston. He brings over 13 years of dental industry experience in the Houston market, focusing on group practice management, practice consulting, and IT selection and implementation. He has completed graduate studies in Health Care Administration at TWU Houston Medical Center, as well as Hospitality Business Management at The University of Houston (Conrad Hilton College). His understanding of the financial realities facing dentists and his market knowledge will help our clients to achieve their goals both now and in the future. Patrick enjoys golf, tennis and spending time with his family. He is involved in several volunteer activities in his community.
David McLerran

Principal - Austin
David McLerran joined McLerran and Associates in August 2007 and is working as a broker in the Central Texas area. In addition, he will be responsible for all online and print related marketing in an effort to better publicize the clients we represent. David graduated from the University of Texas in Austin in 2005 with a B.A. degree in Political Science. After completing his undergraduate coursework, David moved to a "small' city in China (11 million people), where he worked as a high school teacher at an International School for a year and a half. David currently lives in Austin where he enjoys photography and golf.
